Provincial Superior Message

I am very happy that the CSST Kerala Province is launching its own website through which we hope to disseminate our vision and mission expressed in our life and ministry. Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima, the woman who had a dream of uplifting those millions who sit in the valley of darkness, lighted the lamp of knowledge a century ago through education and other ministries. For her education was a means to reach out to the people specially the marginalized. In all the difficult situations she found the opportunities for growth. She was a missionary with a mission. CSST Kerala Province continues to radiate that light by upholding the values which she imparted to us through generations. As we journey ahead holding the lamp which she lit we hear her saying “Forward sisters, forward… Sisters must give the lead…” May our Foundress Servant of God Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima who lived out the Teresian Carmelite Charism be our inspiration and strength in establishing a civilization of love. Let this world experience the compassionate love of God through our presence.

Seminar on Education

A seminar is a form of academic instruction, either at an academic institution or offered by a commercial or professional organization.[citation needed] It has the function of bringing together small groups for recurring meetings, focusing each time on some particular subject, in which everyone present is requested to participate. This is often accomplished through an ongoing Socratic dialogue[1] with a seminar leader or instructor, or through a more formal presentation of research. It is essentially a place where assigned readings are discussed, questions can be raised and debates can be conducted.[2]

Diwali Celebration

Diwali, or Deepawali, gets its name from the Sanskrit word deepavali, which means "row of clay lamps." Many people in India will light these lamps outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects them from spiritual darkness, in tune with a holiday that is an ode to the triumph of good over evil. Hindu celebrations center on the return of Rama and Sita, two deities, to Ayodhya, an ancient city in India, after being exiled. Sikhs, Jains and even Buddhists have their own lore surrounding the holiday — you can read about it here.
